For this reason here, and that reason there, I’ve moved.
Shots from last year.

Two years ago, I decided to get hold of a very expressive non-living thing.

Her name is Adel. Short for Madeline. She was named after the cute, little, redhead cartoon character who I was a big fan of back in my childhood. Owner and head of the conglomerate Shenanigans Unlimited! Assisted by her friend Purple Zaychekov, a stuffed rabbit and ex-secret agent. She is a playwright and inventor. A big fan of David Bowie, Napoleon Bonaparte, The New York Yankees and Roald Dahl. Her favourite books include The Prince, The Little Prince, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Art of War.
I haven’t photographed her in a while. No photostories in storage either. But, I’m itching to come up with some new content featuring her.

She’s a DOC Mir from Dream of Doll.
Last photograph taken by my father.
After we were dismissed, I packed my things, went to the field and looked up.

Gonna try to wake up early one day this weekend.
Lately my photographs have been a bit off. I’ve been a bit frustrated, as a result. For quite some time, too. But then, I figured I wouldn’t really get anywhere if I just indulged in irritation. So, I decided to take a break and do something I haven’t done in a long time.

And some from last year:

Scrappy as these sketches are, I’m happy with them.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to get back into my groove, photography-wise.
‘Till then, I’ll just keep going at it, and do what I have to do.
One Sunday, some few months ago, my mother knocked on my door and asked me if I wanted to go with her to bring my grandmothers to Manila Bay. Lazy, with a bit of stress from the past school week, I reluctantly agreed.
And I didn’t regret it.

I love this city.
